2021.12.06 20:38 DoctorProbability The most likely scenario
If the the kind of collapse of civilization some of you seem to be expecting happens, no prepping is gonna be any good unless you've found a totally remote location and already moved there. With approx 434 million firearms in civilian possession, US citizens would panic and start shooting anything that moves, on sight, just in case.
No escaping to your bug out, roads all blocked with trashed vehicles. No driving anywhere without being shot to bits by suicidal crazies who can't escape and have decided you won't either. Mass shootings everywhere, from morning 'til night, all day, every day, for weeks. Until all the ammo's gone and everyone's dead or driven half insane from starvation, dehydration and lack of sleep.
And if you're well prepared and have already moved your family to a 'safe' place, no merry band of survivors are gonna eke out an existence while trying to multiply and replenish the human race. No, because there soon wouldn't be a blade of grass left standing, let alone anything that walks. Any widespread and permanent collapse would be followed by mass nuclear plant meltdowns which would put paid to even the most well organized and remotely located prepper, probably within the year.
You'd better hope it never happens.

2021.12.06 20:38 M761990 Hilton Cancun - All Inclusive Resort Review Dec 2021
Earlier in the year, I posted about my experience at the Hyatt Ziva Cancun
I would like to follow this up with a review of the new Hilton Cancun resort that opened last month.
Location 3/5 - Entrance to the resort includes a rocky paved security section, then a long street to the coast. You will see nothing in the area except swamps on both sides of the street and then the Hilton resort. about 20mins from the airport. There is a free shuttle to the Hilton Canopy in the hotel zone. However, from my research, this resort does not have a private beach.
Service 4.5/5 - Staff was always very friendly and helpful. I do feel that they are currently slightly understaffed. There aren’t as many employees walking around taking orders as I would have expected/seen in other Cancun resorts. Due to their new nature of the resort, many of the employees may need to find answers from their superiors or coworkers due to the lack of training/experience with the resort. You may also experience different answers from the employees at times. For example, one waiter at breakfast told me they only had filtered pitchers of water. When he went away, another waiter asked me for my drink order. He then brought me a bottle of water before the first waiter came back. For something so simple, they should have clearer answers.
Facilities - 5/5 Modern, elegant designs throughout the common areas, rooms, and restaurants. The rooms were clean and spacious. The gym was large enough to never be too crowded. The lobby bar comes a hangout spot in the evening and night. They usually have some live jazz / guitarist playing in the lobby during the evenings.
Covid precautions/testing 5/5 - I felt safe the entire time. All employees are required to wear masks. About 60% of the guests wear masks indoors when they are not eating/drinking. There is on site free antigen testing (unsure if pcr is free) - guests are required to use the web app to make reservations for their Covid test ( as well as dinners and some activities ). It was a painless process. After getting swabbed, we were handed a printout with our results after 10 mins.
Food - 4.5/5 - La Luce Italian restaurant is probably the best restaurant there - I recommend their salmon, chicken parm, eggplant parm, pizza, and salads. Maxal - Mexican - Both beef and chorizo tacos at Maxal were really good. The restaurants throughout the resorts had good salads. I did not struggle to find a dish I did not like even if it took a second try at times. Sunan was not open unfortunately. Buffet breakfast - they have a variety of pastries, hot and cold food. The only made to order station is the omelette station. The French toast/pancakes were pre made. 3-4 l juice options. A variety of fresh fruit. Lunch buffet - didn't try. They do have a pasta station that is made to order.
Alcohol 4.5/5 - creative cocktails. Like all other resorts, their cocktails could use a little more alcohol. I would add a shot into cocktails at times because I did not want to drink too much sugar. They have Grey Goose, Tito’s, Bombay sapphire, Tanquerey, Black Label. Their tequila was good but not great. They had Espilon Hornitas and a few others I did not recognize. A few restaurants/bars had Don Julio.
Activities - 4/5 - just to name a few - Spanish speaking class, Latin dance, ping pong , bingo , dj pool party, nightly shows at 8:30. The usual resort stuff.
Pools - 3.75-4 / 5 - 2 infinity pools and a separate kids pool. I could not tell which infinity pool was actually heated. The jacuzzi's were not working properly for some odd reason. The design of the pool is a bit strange. There are several parts of the pool that are shallow with lounge chairs on them which decreases the total amount of pool space. Also on both sides of the "chill pool" there are long spaced out steps that you could barely see through the water. Why not just 3-5 steps within a smaller space IDK. This also decreases the total amount of pool space. I would advise against swimming a straight line for fun in the pool as you could seriously injure yourself by hitting your head against one of these steps. Lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas very close to the pool. SPA was not open when I went.
Room service 1/5 - I ordered water bottles on 2 separate days via telephone and it never came. I ordered dinner once and it arrived late and cold (probably due to understaffing) I tried to order again during my last night and the web-app did not work. Interestingly, some resorts will let you order dishes from most on-site restaurants right to your room. Boxing your leftovers or ordering a dinner menu restaurant dish directly to your room is not possible at the Hilton Cancun.
Beach - 2.5/5 - this isn’t a resort where you will find many people in the water or on the beach. The water is a bit rocky. They did recently add chairs to the beach which is a plus. Most of the guests lounge around one of the 2 adult pools that are open. **For those of you who aren’t familiar with Cancun, this resort is not in an area with turquoise clear water. You may see some pockets of turquoise in a distance but nothing nearby. If swimming in a clear water beach is important to you - I would not come to this resort because you will see a beach similar to what you would find in some parts of the northeastern US. See photo comparison - https://imgur.com/a/2vVu3WF
Nightlife 1/5 - The resort is pretty calm at night. It is far away from the main strip of bars/clubs in the hotel zone. This did not bother me. If you are someone looking for a late night resort club/lounge experience, this isn’t one of them.
Overall - 4/5 - With great restaurants, kind staff, beautiful facilities, and several pools, families could have a great time here. I'm sure as the months pass, the staff will become more experienced and the resort will hire more employees as their capacity increases. However, this really wasn't the resort for me due to the poor beach experience.

a bailing tip to those new (or old player who never thought of this) when either bailing for animals, to sell ,or maybe even a contract if your gonna mow grass for bailing get a tractor with PTO and three point on the front as well as having enough HP and KW for the Novacat 301and the bailer of your choice and run the mower on the front and bail off at the back just ensure you stop during bail unloading or you will miss some grass. PLEASE NOTE hired workers won't bail so this is a job for you to do as workers will not stop to unload bails.

2021.12.06 20:38 allinwonderornot Mao said it's ok this sub is so hated by the reactionaries. To quote Mao:
"I think that for us, if a person, a party, an army, or a school is not opposed by the enemy, then it is not good. It must be in the same way as the enemy. If it is opposed by the enemy, it will be fine, and it will prove that we have drawn a clear line from the enemy. If the enemy vigorously opposes us, saying that we are in a mess and worthless, then it is even better. It proves that we have not only drawn a clear line with the enemy, but also proved that our work is very successful."
